A lecture by Sándor Radnóti, aesthetician, critic, philosopher, literary historian, and university professor, based on his book published in 2022, which deals with the history, origins, and changes of landscape painting. The lecture is also the closing lecture of our open university series entitled The Faces of Landscape – The Transformation of Landscape in the Visual Arts.

In our class, we will examine the relationship between the visual whole and its parts. We will study the contrast between positive and negative. We will compose and create based on selected image details. Our image-making techniques may include drawing, painting, collage, or printing.

In her photographs, Anikó Robitz reduces details of the built urban environment to geometric shapes, which, distanced from their original reality, create new forms and meanings. Two-time world champion magician Soma Hajnóczy talks to her about her work to date and her plans for the future.

July 30, 2022 – Garden of Eden workshop with Eszter Kass and Kata Koleszár
The main visual element and inspiration for our work will be vegetation. We will also explore the perspective of leaves with varied shapes and patterns, winding vines, and houseplants in Kata's works. We will learn about the relevant chapter in color theory. Our technique will be tempera and acrylic painting.

Curator Lilla Boros' guided tour of Gabriella Hajnal's exhibition entitled Kilátás (View) and a 30-minute portrait film about Gabriella from 2009, which not only tells us more about the history of the tapestries, but also gives us a more complete picture of the artist's life, thus helping us to understand the background story behind each of her works.
