In Willany Leó is a collective that facilitates the collaboration of contemporary dance artists, exploring the possibilities within free dance and open-partiture performances. The collective has made it its mission to popularize the values inherent in instant solutions for self-expression. Over the years, the collective has initiated numerous value-creating projects, including several opportunities for its artists to create and/or showcase their work.

THE SPACE x WILLANY LEÓ

In our special series, we present a joint initiative of The Space gallery and Leó Willany, where contemporary art and dance meet and intertwine. There is an exhibition at The Space gallery and a solo performance by Willany Leó Improvised Dance Theatre. A special feature of our collaboration is that these evenings are always dreamed up by the performer in question, drawing inspiration from the material on display. The dancer chooses a concept and a musician to collaborate with in order to bring the exhibited works to life in the space. Given the current exhibition, the room light and the forty square metres, everything that happens from now on will be the result of the artist's vision.

Ahead of the performance Judit Horváth Lóczi and Zoltán Grecsó will do a guided tour in Hungarian of the exhibition Family business which is the current exhibition on view.

Tímea Laza is a dance artist and Réka Fodor is a singer and voice drummer.
